Briefing by French historian, archaeologist, public figure, President of the Foundation for the Development of Russian-French Historical Initiatives, former parliamentary assistant to the European Parliament, Pierre Malinowski.

The event discussed the preservation of historical memory, the prospects for restoring ties between Russia and France through public diplomacy based on a common historical past, the implementation of historical and cultural projects with the participation of Russian and French researchers, and perpetuating the memory of heroes who fell in defense of the Fatherland.

Particular attention was paid to the discovery in early October by an archaeological expedition in northern France near Reims of the remains of six soldiers of the Russian Expeditionary Force who defended France during the First World War.
