The remains of the first three soldiers were buried in the Russian military cemetery of Saint-Hilaire-le-Grand in Department de la Marne on October 29, 2023.
In September 2023, Pierre Malinowski discovered the remains of 6 soldiers of the Russian Expeditionary Force in the middle of a field in Courcy on the Marne.
All these soldiers were from the 12th company of the 2nd regiment of the 1st brigade of the Russian Expeditionary Force, sent by the Emperor to France in 1916. All of them were killed on April 17, 1917 at 10 am. 4 soldiers were identified, and two unknown soldiers were 17 and 18 years old.
