On July 13, 2021, on the eve of the French National Day, the Foundation for the Development of Russian-French Historical Initiatives organized a ceremony for the repatriation of the remains of General Gudin to France on a private Airbus A320, generously provided by Andrey Kozitsyn. The ceremony was held with the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, Vnukovo-3 International Airport and All-Russian Public Movement ROSREKON in the presence of the general's descendants. Upon arrival in France, the coffin was received by the French Minister Geneviève Darrieussecq and the Republican Guard at Le Bourget airport. By decree of President Emmanuel Macron, the national funeral of General Gudin will take place in France on December 2, 2021 at Les Invalides.
