On April, 8 a press conference was held in TASS, dedicated to the launch of a large international project "Salingrad 2021"
A press conference dedicated to the launch of the project "Stalingrad 2021" took place on April 8,2021 at TASS.

Among the speakers there were the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova, Head of the Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for the perpetuation of the memory of the victims in the defense of the Fatherland of Valery Kudinsky, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Union of Veterans Vladimir Romanenko, Chairman of the Regional Office of the Search Movement of Russia in the Volgograd region Andrei Oreshkin, President of the Foundation for the Development of the Russian-French Historical Initiatives Pierre Malinowski and Vice-President Svetlana Makeeva.


They covered such topics as the mission of the project, the composition of the international search detachment, which will include researchers from Russia and France, the search area, the solemn burial ceremony on April 24, 2021 at Mamaev Kurgan, guests of honor, including the descendants of Charles de Gaulle, as well as the planned historical meeting of veterans World War II from Russia, France and the United States.
The project Stalingrad-2021 will be implemented in April 2021 by the Foundation for the Development of Russian-French Historical Initiatives with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the authorities of the Volgograd Region, as well as the National Center for Research (France) and the National Institute of Preventive Archaeological Research (France ).
